How It Works

Normally, your brain sends tiny electrical signals to your muscles to contract during exercise. But not all muscles respond equally — especially those that are weak, underused, or hard to isolate.


EMS sends those same electrical signals directly to your muscles, causing them to contract more intensely and more frequently than they would on their own. The result? More muscle fiber recruited, more growth, more results.

The Science Behind EMS Training 

Developed over 60 years ago as a form of reparative muscle therapy, the short and long-term benefits of EMS training are well known, and backed by science.

EMS simultaneously activates both Type I (endurance) and Type II (power) muscle fibers, something traditional exercise rarely achieves. By recruiting more fibers per contraction, EMS accelerates muscle protein synthesis, promoting faster gains in tone, strength, and definition.

Intense muscle contractions during EMS increase energy expenditure and elevate your resting metabolic rate (RMR).

At Amped Advantage we offer private and small group personal training of all kinds. ​We create custom workout programs based off of our clients needs, goals, and time frame. 

 

All of our sessions are 60 minutes including time to get changed, suit-up, a 25-30 minute workout, 5 minute cool down, 5 minute stretch, and 1-2 mins to suit-down. ​Nutritional counselling, body composition scans, mobility work, and guided stretching is also offered out of our studios.

 

Programs are structured into Monthly Membership Options and flexible Paid-in-Full Packages.​The best way to get started is by joining our
